Senior Backend Engineer

Summary

Join Intetics Inc. as a Senior Backend Engineer and contribute to a mobile-first platform revolutionizing the agricultural supply chain. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python, build solutions for complex optimization problems, and develop secure RESTful APIs. This role requires 5-10 years of backend development experience, strong Python and OOP skills, and experience with REST APIs, cloud technologies (preferably AWS), Docker, and Kubernetes. The position offers remote work and is a full-time engagement for 3+ months, potentially extending to May-June 2025. The ideal candidate will have experience solving linear optimization problems and a solid understanding of backend security best practices.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in Python and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Experience solving linear optimization or related mathematical problems
• Experience with REST API development
• Cloud experience, preferably with AWS
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Solid understanding of backend security best practices

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python
• Build and optimize solutions for complex linear/logistics optimization problems
• Develop and integrate secure, reliable RESTful APIs
• Implement and maintain containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes
• Ensure backend systems follow security best practices
