Senior BackEnd Software Engineer in France

Summary

Cryptio is a remote-first company hiring a senior back-end software engineer to join their team in building and maintaining technical primitives for their digital asset back-office platform. The engineer will contribute to the data processing and streaming pipeline, develop new features, improve performance, and make key technical decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience writing software
• Some experience with large scale data management
• Some experience with stream processing / computational streaming
• Some experience with Rust or C++
• Familiar with data structures (B-tree, LSM…)
• Familiar with databases data models
• Great computer science culture
• Impeccable spoken and written English
• Great communication, with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Write production-grade Rust
• Contribute to our data processing and streaming pipeline
• Develop new features and improve the performance of existing ones
• Work with the team lead and the CTO to refine the team’s roadmap and take key technical / architectural decisions
• Write documentation and tests

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar with key / value databases
• Familiar with PostgreSQL Change Data Capture (CDC) mechanisms
• Familiar with gRPC API development
• Some experience with distributed and fault-tolerant systems
• Prior experience working in a start-up / fast-paced environment
