Gympass is hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer for their CODE (Consumer Digital Experience) Activation team in Portugal. The role involves defining architecture, ensuring successful deliveries, promoting code quality standards, spreading development best practices, building reusable code, and taking part in incident resolution.

Requirements

  • Consolidated experience in backend development with Javascript
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, and KPIs tracking
  • Experience with microservices and distributed systems
  • Experience with RESTful APIs written in NodeJs
  • Architecture knowledge (event-driven architectures; serverless)
  • Software quality and test automation mindset
  • Cloud computing (AWS) and Cloud Native (K8s) experience
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies, such as PostgreSQL, Redis
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal and written English and Portuguese

Responsibilities

  • Help to define the architecture of systems and integrations
  • Ensure successful deliveries
  • Promote the long-term technical health of our journeys
  • Ensure a high bar on code quality standards
  • Spread development best practices such as code reviews, pair programming, TDD, etc
  • Build reusable code for future users
  • Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Typescript
  • Experience with NestJS / GraphQL
