Summary
Join Sotheby's Data & Analytics team as a talented and motivated data analyst to leverage data for company-wide decision-making. You will be responsible for understanding business requirements, collecting and preparing data, developing Tableau dashboards, defining KPIs, presenting findings to leaders, identifying data enhancements, and resolving data issues. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, 3-5 years of relevant experience in data analysis and Tableau, proficiency in SQL and Excel, and excellent communication skills. The salary range is $115,000-$130,000, plus a discretionary bonus and a competitive benefits package.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs Degree
- 3-5 years relevant work experience: SQL, conducting large scale data analyses to support business decision making, working with structured and unstructured data, joining large and complex data sets
- 3-5 years experience in all phases of the BI lifecycle in a Tableau environment including dashboard design, development, testing, implementation, and post-production support
- Strong experience with data preparation for reporting (e.g., data profiling, data cleansing, volume assessment and partitioning) including ETL and data modeling (relational and dimensional)
- Ability to move between high level architectural review/design and the βroll up the sleevesβ level of providing oversight and execution for project delivery
- Proficient in Excel, SQL (DBT), and Tableau
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional and responsive
Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements from various stakeholders and plan a solution to address data requirements
- Collect, refine, and prepare data for analytics and visualization
- Develop, design, and maintain Tableau dashboards and analytics
- Define new KPIs and analyze them to form actionable recommendations
- Present to business leaders in both ad-hoc forums and routine business review to drive strategic decision making
- Identify new data functionalities or enhancements needed to support better decision making and business growth
- Solve any data or performance issues related to workbooks and data sources
