Summary

Requirements

  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Cancer Biology or similar field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in the Bioinformatics field
  • Track-record of leading and developing state-of-the-art and highly impactful bioinformatics methods
  • Deep understanding of sequencing data and multiple sequencing technologies, WGS experience preferred
  • Highly experienced in data analysis, statistical learning, and algorithm development
  • Strong programming skills in a scientific programming language, Python strongly preferred
  • Experience using Linux command-line tools and writing shell scripts
  • Experience with AWS / cloud
  • Ability to perform hypothesis driven research, visualize findings and summarize results in oral and written form
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Innovate, design, develop, validate, and benchmark new algorithms and statistical methods to analyze large-scale data sets based on insights in cancer biology and genomics
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to translate biological questions into research strategies that solve challenging problems in oncology
  • Contribute to experimental design and ensure data integrity and quality control
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and scientific excellence
