Axios is hiring a Senior Brand Designer to help build and grow their brand. The role involves designing ads, events, landing pages, social media templates, and more, working within a collaborative team, and managing complex projects. Requirements

• 4-6 years design experience at an agency or in-house
• A strong portfolio showing brand design (both applying existing branding and creating new brands from scratch)
• Proficient in design software (Adobe creative suite, Figma, etc)
• The ability to design new brand systems thinking of scalability
• Experience self-managing complex projects with some degree of ambiguity
• Comfortable presenting work to different stakeholders (from teammates to leadership)
• A clear sense of design work process, from briefing to execution

Responsibilities

• Design a variety of assets (both digital and in print), making sure they are consistently on brand
• Ideate, iterate and refine new brands and visual identity systems that live within the larger Axios brand
• Design within existing brand systems, evolving and refining them when necessary
• Think of the Axios brand holistically, identifying and flagging when something feels off
• Update and contribute to our brand guidelines
• Self-manage your projects, navigating ambiguity, communicating with stakeholders, respecting deadlines
• Collaborate with other team members and on occasion provide feedback and guidance to more junior team members
