Senior Cloud Engineer

Summary

Join Raft, a customer-obsessed small business, as a Senior Cloud Engineer. This exciting opportunity requires expertise in managing cloud computing across various environments (on-premise, hybrid, and commercial cloud). You will mentor junior developers, implement infrastructure as code, and ensure cloud infrastructure security. Excellent communication skills are essential. The role is hybrid, based in Hanscom, AFB, with potential for up to 10% travel. The salary range is $90,000-$170,000, depending on experience and skills. Raft offers a competitive benefits package.

Requirements

• Five years of experience as a software engineer leveraging large-scale cloud infrastructure as their primary application platform (preferred AWS)
• Five years of experience working with agile and lean software development practices
• Deep understanding of modern security best practices for cloud infrastructure and networks
• Three years of hands-on experience building declarative infrastructure using modern Infrastructure as Code techniques
• Extensive experience scripting (PowerShell, JSON, and Python)
• Experience successfully transforming large-scale software, data center, and/or on-premise infrastructure programs to a containerized cloud-native architecture
• Obtain Security+ within the first 90 days of employment with Raft
• Active Secret Security Clearance
