Senior Cloud Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Senior Cloud Engineer and help create and maintain our infrastructure on AWS and Cloudflare, build deployment pipelines, and assist developers with AWS-related questions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with major third-party cloud infrastructure and container orchestration: some flavor of Kubernetes, AWS, and EKS preferred
• 5+ years of experience handling application support in production (including on-call)
• 3+ years of Python, Go, or similar experience
• 3+ years of experience with Terraform, ideally in AWS
• 3+ years of experience with GitLab/Github, ArgoCD and Helm/Kustomize
• Prior startup experience – it would be difficult for this to be your first startup
• A love for all things automation and a touch-it-once attitude
• An understanding that infrastructure is only as good as it is reliable, observable, and secure. Those characteristics are foundational to everything you create
• A self-starting attitude: you look for problems to solve rather than waiting to be told where to look or what to do

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain infrastructure hosted on AWS and Cloudflare
• Build and maintain deployment pipelines and release automation tooling
• Work hand in hand with multiple platform and application development teams to test new ideas and projects
• Assist developers with questions about the AWS infrastructure
• Deliver on IAM needs
• Identify and remediate security concerns
• Help solve current and future scaling and performance challenges, including designing entirely new iterations of our platform
