Senior Cloud Engineer

Summary

Join Zencore, a fast-growing company founded by former Google Cloud leaders, as a Cloud Engineer. You will work with innovative companies, acting as a trusted advisor to guide their cloud transformation journey. Responsibilities include leveraging cloud technologies, modernizing applications, and utilizing tools like Google Cloud, Hashicorp portfolio, and Kubernetes. This is a 12-week short-term contract with a possibility of extension. You will be embedded within customer teams, providing strategic guidance and executing projects collaboratively. Requirements

• 3 years of experience working with a major public cloud platform
• Hands-on experience with common DevOps tools and practices
• Excellent technical skills in at least one of the following areas
• Linux system administration
• Networking (data center and cloud)
• MySQL or other Database Administration
• Experience working with traditional data center environments and technologies (VMware, physical servers, storage arrays, networks / firewalls)
• Ability to write scripts and automation in at least one language
• Comfortable with being on video in meetings internally and with clients
• Conversational proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud is preferred
• Experience migrating applications from a data center environment to a public cloud is preferred
