Requirements
- Seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization
- Resolves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions
- Fully qualified career-oriented, journey-level position
- Develops solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires evaluation
- Determines best approach to achieve results and provides suggestions to improve policies and procedures
- Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Networks with senior internal and external contacts in own area of expertise
- Receives very little instruction on day-to-day work. May receive general instruction or guidance on new projects or assignments
Responsibilities
- Underwrite the entire spectrum of lending products, regardless of size or complexity, in a timely and efficient manner
- Understand and apply credit policies and minimum underwriting standards
- Collaborate closely with the various Business Development Officers to provide a consultative/value-added credit perspective, both prior to proposal issuance and thereafter
- Review and analyze new deal packages for content and completeness and conduct initial interviews with prospects
- Order and review due diligence and documentation
- Review and analyze financial statement spreads and understand cash flows
- Review field examinations and understand collateral and financial trends indicated therein
- Visit prospect locations and meet management of the business prior to closing for transactions over a predetermined amount
- Gain a thorough understanding of the prospect's business and the company's asset conversion cycle
- Review reporting requirements and processing with clients
- Analyze debtor information in conjunction with Debtor Credit Manager
- Prepare the credit narrative for appropriate approval
- Conduct and document the pre-funding process and oversee the efforts of the Client Analyst assigned to the transaction
- Oversee closing documentation process and effectively negotiate with prospect
- Mentor and train analysts, field examiners and less experienced business development representatives
