Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA certification
  • 5-7 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or a corporate tax department with in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations in the US
  • Strong proficiency in tax preparation software and financial reporting tools
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Identify and implement tax planning opportunities to optimize tax liabilities
  • Manage the accurate and timely preparation of sales tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations across multiple states and jurisdictions
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of withholding tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with withholding tax regulations and timely remittance of payments
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits
  • Provide guidance on tax implications for business decisions and transactions
  • Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations
  • Prepare and review tax-related documents and reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Develop and maintain internal controls related to tax compliance and reporting
  • Assist with tax audits and inquiries from the IRS
  • Provide documentation and support for tax positions taken on returns
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization
  • Advise on any potential adjustments required to maintain compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ERP Dynamics NAV and MS Office
  • Experience in handling tax audits and IRS inquiries
