Tax Executive, Senior Tax Executive

Summary

Join Cabin, a tech-powered online accounting and corporate secretarial firm, as a full-time freelance contractor. Work remotely from home, focusing on Singapore corporate tax, GST, and withholding tax services. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing tax computations, filing returns, liaising with IRAS, and handling advisory engagements. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 3 years of relevant experience is required. Proficiency in Google Workspace and MS Office is essential. The role offers a competitive salary (RM4,000-RM6,000), flexible hours (where possible), a company laptop and mobile phone, and reimbursement of work-related travel expenses.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Have at least 3 years of experience in Singapore corporate tax and/or GST
• Communicate well in English (both spoken and written)
• Be proficient in Google Sheets, Google Docs, MS Excel and MS Word
• Have an analytical mind and can work independently under tight deadlines
• Be meticulous and have attention to detail
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills
• Be a proactive and responsible team player

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review tax computations
• File corporate tax returns
• Liaise with IRAS
• Attend to corporate tax queries
• Handle ad-hoc corporate tax advisory engagements
• Prepare and/or review GST calculations
• File GST returns
• File GST registration and de-registration
• Attend to GST queries
• Handle ad-hoc GST advisory engagements
• Prepare and/or review withholding tax calculations
• File s45 Form
• Handle ad-hoc withholding tax advisory engagements

Preferred Qualifications

• Have additional varied experience (i.e. in withholding tax, transfer pricing, bookkeeping, preparation of accounts, etc.)
• Be bilingual in English and Chinese/Malay
• Have experience in accounting software (i.e. Xero, Dext, Talenox, etc.)

Benefits

• Full-time role: RM4,000 - RM6,000 per month depending on experience
