Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in brand and marketing design roles
  • 2+ years in relevant senior-level design positions at significant global consumer brands
  • Demonstrable experience in creating delightful, brand-differentiating attributes through your hands-on craft and creative skills
  • Strong background in brand design β€” you have hands-on experience in marketing design, typography, color, and composition - and can execute with exceptional creativity and attention to detail
  • Versatility in your creative style that allows us to try a variety of concepts to learn what resonates best with our audience and adapt along the way
  • Proficiency in managing projects of varying complexity, from proposal, through execution and release, all while working transparently and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and contributors
  • Ability to write creative briefs that clearly define and communicate project goals, rationale, and success metrics with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Eagerness to ideate in the open, taking collaborators along with you in your process while inspiring and motivating them to push creative boundaries
  • Proficiency in research and experimentation β€” you can leverage both qualitative and quantitative data in driving decisions forward
  • Ability to take initiative to carry ideas forward with urgency and discretion
  • Expertise and willingness to apply your experience in educating, guiding, and supporting others, while serving as a steward to maintain quality of execution across designated areas of design
  • Proficiency with current industry design tools needed to carry out brand and marketing design work (e.g., Figma, Lottie, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Leverage your exceptional craft and creative skills such as illustration, animation, and typography to add delight, personality, and evolve the tone of our brand across all marketing channels, platforms, and product areas
  • Ideate and design marketing campaigns and other top-of-the-funnel touch points
  • Weave our brand throughout the DuckDuckGo product experience
  • Lead projects that define and showcase our brand while scaling that creative work across marketing, product, communications, events, and swag
