Summary

Requirements

  • Advanced SQL/Tableau skills: You're an expert in SQL and Tableau, capable of handling complex data manipulation and creating highly sophisticated visualizations
  • Excellent communication skills: You're a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing. You can clearly and concisely explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Confidence and presence: You're comfortable presenting data and recommendations to VPs and other senior leaders, articulating your points clearly and persuasively
  • A proactive and ownership-driven mindset: You take initiative, anticipate needs, and are accountable for delivering results. You see projects through to completion and are passionate about making a real impact

Responsibilities

  • Dive deep into product usage data: Analyze user behavior, identify trends, and uncover insights that inform product strategy and feature prioritization
  • Design and implement robust data tracking: Define key metrics, instrument data collection, and ensure data quality to provide a reliable foundation for analysis
  • Build compelling visualizations and dashboards: Create clear, concise, and actionable dashboards and reports in Tableau and Pendo to communicate data insights to diverse audiences, including senior leadership
  • Conduct in-depth analyses: Perform exploratory data analysis, A/B testing analysis, and other statistical analyses to evaluate product performance and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Own the data narrative: Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and persuasive stories that influence product decisions and drive action
  • Proactively identify opportunities: Go beyond simply fulfilling requests; seek out new ways to leverage data to improve the product and the business
  • Champion data literacy: Promote a data-driven culture within the product team, empowering colleagues to make informed decisions based on data
  • Manage end-to-end analytics projects: Take ownership of strategic analytics projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results

Preferred Qualifications

  • Statistical analysis experience: You have experience with statistical analysis techniques (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis) using Python or a similar statistical programming language
  • Edtech experience: You have a background in the education technology industry and understand the unique challenges and opportunities in this space
  • Product analytics experience: You have a proven track record of working as a product analyst, driving product decisions with data, including experience with Pendo or similar product analytics tools
  • Experience owning strategic projects: You've successfully managed complex analytics projects from start to finish, demonstrating strong project management and problem-solving skills
