We are hiring a Senior Data Architect to design, implement, and manage our data architecture, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility. Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data architectures for large-scale, complex systems
  • Strong experience with data modeling, database design, and data warehousing
  • Extensive experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
  • Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and other database technologies

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, robust data architectures that meet the organizationโ€™s current and future data needs
  • Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data integration solutions that ensure data consistency, quality, and security
  • Define data storage strategies, including data warehousing, data lakes, and distributed data systems
  • Lead the design and development of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from multiple sources into a unified system
  • Optimize data flows and processes for efficiency, ensuring data is processed in a timely and reliable manner
  • Manage and optimize cloud and on-premises data environments, ensuring high availability and performance
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data integrity, compliance, and security
  • Work closely with the IT security team to implement data security measures, including encryption, access controls, and data masking
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and other IT professionals to understand data requirements and provide data solutions
  • Mentor and guide junior data architects, data engineers, and other team members in best practices and data architecture principles
  • Lead data architecture review sessions and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in data architecture and management
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms, and tools to enhance the organizationโ€™s data capabilities
  • Lead the implementation of new data technologies and ensure their successful integration into the existing environment
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, data models, and data management processes
  • Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management on data architecture status, risks, and future needs
