Senior Data Engineer

Summary

Join the TeleSoftas Team as a Senior Data Engineer and work with Bourne Leisure, a leading British holiday company. You will be part of the Foundations Tribe, focusing on core systems like Customer Data, Payments, CRM, and BI data. Key responsibilities include maintaining and optimizing the data warehouse, converting business requirements into data sets in the Data Lake, and modeling data views using dbt. The role requires 4+ years of experience in data engineering, proficiency in dbt and SQL, and familiarity with Snowflake. Requirements

• 4+ years of proven working experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
• Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, particularly dimensional modelling techniques
• Proficiency in data transformations with dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud, SQL
• Familiarity with Snowflake data warehouse
• Knowledge of Git
• Analytical and result-driven mindset, strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize the company's data warehouse in alignment with established standards and best practices
• Convert business requirements into performant, reliable data sets in our Data Lake and maintain data layers within Snowflake
• Model data views and aggregates using dbt

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in ensuring and maintaining data quality
• Familiarity with AWS services
• Experience working with Python
• Understanding of CI/CD fundamentals
• Experience in mentoring
