Senior Data Engineer

Summary

Join UpCloud as a Senior Data Engineer and build their BI platform from the ground up. Requirements

• Strong GCP and BigQuery expertise
• Advanced SQL experience (data modelling, performance tuning and security)
• Strong Data Engineering experience (ETL/ELT, data warehouse and data lake management)
• Strong skills in Python
• A proactive, hands-on approach
• Good communication skills
• A desire to grow and take ownership

Responsibilities

• Influence the designing and implementation of our BI architecture
• Build a scalable data warehouse from open source building blocks
• Classify and organise data for better usage, and help shape the strategic direction of our data platform, like participating in the design of data models
• Collaborate with teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with message queues
• Experience with Google Looker Studio
• Experience driving or leading data platform projects
• A background in international environments and working with global teams
