Join Xebia, a global leader in digital solutions, and become a vital part of our team. We are seeking a Data Engineer with 3+ years of experience in both Data Engineering and DevOps roles. You will manage and optimize GCP services, develop data pipelines using DBT, work with BigQuery, create reports using Looker Studio, and automate tasks using Node.js or Python. This part-time (4 hours/day) position requires strong SQL and Python skills, hands-on GCP experience, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with Node.js and Firestore. Work authorization within the European Union is required.

Requirements

  • Be ready to start within 6 weeks
  • Be ready to work part-time (4h per day)
  • Have 3+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer
  • Have 3+ years’ experience as a DevOps
  • Possess strong SQL skills
  • Have Python scripting proficiency
  • Have hands-on experience with GCP
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of BigQuery
  • Have an advanced understanding of dbt
  • Have working knowledge of Git
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Work from the European Union region and have a work permit

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including IAM, AppEngine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Workflows, and Cloud Build
  • Manage BigQuery infrastructure, including dataset creation and schema definition
  • Develop and maintain data transformations and pipelines using DBT
  • Work with BigQuery, including SQL and OLAP transformations
  • Create reports and visualizations using Looker Studio
  • Implement and maintain scripts for batch modifications in Firestore
  • Automate tasks in Firestore using Node.js or Python

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have hands-on experience with Node.js
  • Have familiarity with Firestore
