The ideal candidate has 5+ years of data science experience, 2+ years of people management, and proficiency in Python or R. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data science roles focused on causal inference and experimentation
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Proficiency in Python or R for econometric modeling and data analysis
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and cleaning
- Deep knowledge of causal inference methodologies (e.g., DiD, IV, doubly robust methods)
- Experience designing, implementing, and analyzing experiments (RCTs)
- Understanding of behavioral economics concepts and frameworks
- Ability to clearly communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Psychology, Statistics, Finance, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master’s is a plus)
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists focused on experimentation, causal inference, and user behavior
- Collaborate with Growth and Product teams to design and evaluate experiments (RCTs and quasi-experimental approaches)
- Guide the team in research initiatives that deepen our understanding of user behavior and inspire new experimentation opportunities
- Drive the roadmap for experimentation tooling and culture—including the development of a new experimentation platform
- Propose innovative, evidence-based initiatives that deepen user engagement and improve retention
- Translate complex insights into clear recommendations for stakeholders across the company
- Advocate for rigorous, ethical, and user-centric approaches to data science
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fintech or fast-paced tech environments
- Familiarity with Databricks or similar platforms
- Previous work in quantitative market research
- Experience developing data-informed growth strategies
- Passion for crypto and emerging financial technologies
- Experience building or scaling experimentation platforms
