Summary

BioRender is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join their Growth Leadership Team. The role involves optimizing overall product growth performance, identifying 0-1 growth opportunities, building statistical models, and supporting data needs that influence top line company KPIs. The ideal candidate has proficiency in SQL and modeling in R/Python, 3+ years industry experience, advanced degree in a quantitative discipline, deep knowledge of experiment design and causal inference, ability to translate quantitative findings into actionable insights, and expertise in statistical modeling, econometrics modeling, and machine learning.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL and modeling in R/Python
• 3+ years industry experience and advanced degree (master or above) in quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent practical experience
• Deep knowledge of experiment design and causal inference, strong analytical and causal reasoning mindset
• Ability to translate quantitative findings into actionable insights and influence business decisions
• Expertise in statistical modeling, econometrics modeling, and machine learning

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, product design, engineering and marketing stakeholders to optimize overall product growth performance
• Proactively identify 0-1 growth product opportunities and optimization strategy through exploratory analysis, hypothesis testing using advanced statistical methods, driving changes where needed for product roadmap development
• Build statistical models and develop advanced experimentation methods, such as synthetic control, and diff-in-diff to measure marketing’s impact globally and across BioRender’s product lines

Preferred Qualifications

• System thinking and creativity to solve complex problems by going deep to understand its core drivers
• Strong Stakeholder management
• Experience collaborating with marketing, FP&A teams or revenue-focussed teams on common growth marketing attribution systems e.g., Media Mix Model, Customer LTV, Ads platforms, time series forecasting model
