Senior Data Scientist

Summary

The job description is for a Risk team member at Trustly Americas who will develop machine learning models to mitigate fraud and funds availability risk. The role requires strong experience in Data Science, risk experience in financial services or similar industry, advanced skills in Python, understanding of feature engineering and model development process, strong SQL skills, knowledge in GraphDB, and solid English skills. Requirements

• Strong experience with Data Science
• Risk experience in financial services or similar industry
• Strong experience developing statistical/machine learning models and tests
• University degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, or another comparable field of study
• Advanced skills in Python
• Understanding of feature engineering and model development process
• Strong to advanced SQL skills
• Knowledge in GraphDB
• Must have solid English skills to be able to communicate with English-speaking business stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Develop new statistical models to mitigate fraud and funds availability risk
• Conduct analysis to measure model performance, compare performance across multiple models, and influence model strategy and selection decisions
• Deploy risk models in the Trustly production system
• Analyze raw source data and develop risk model features as necessary in partnership with engineering
• Support development and maintenance of risk modeling infrastructure
• Develop data-driven and intuition-driven fraud prevention rules
• Perform ad-hoc analysis on specific risk issues and potential mitigations
• Develop risk-specific reporting to monitor merchants and rule performance
