Senior Data Scientist

Summary

The job is for a Senior Data Scientist providing Consumer Insights at Henry Meds, a fast-growing healthcare startup. The role includes creating predictive LTV and Churn models, collaborating with finance and customer success teams, and working towards building a large scale model to discover retention opportunities.

Requirements

• Excellent ability using Python, SQL, and BigQuery
• Experience with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Implemented Churn or LTV models into production environments
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Create forward facing projections that encompass growth capacity and financial modeling
• Handle FP&A, CRM, and customer experience data metrics
• Develop Churn/ LTV models that inform data-driven strategy decisions
• Work towards building a large scale model to discover retention opportunities within certain customer groups
• Collaborate with marketing and customer success to highlight instances these groups could intervene with customers to increase retention/LTV
• Roadmap a tactical approach for immediate churn modeling and a long-term approach for future financial projections

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience working within an ecommerce business
• Maintaining models over a significant period of time
• Experience working with data sources that have not yet been ingested
• Recent experience building and/or deploying new roadmaps
• Exposure mentoring or working with junior data scientists
• Startup or telehealth experience
