Summary
Join Chartis, a Design, Marketing and Technology Consultancy, as a Senior Developer specializing in WordPress and Hubspot websites. This fully remote, full-time or contract-to-perm position requires designing, developing, and maintaining websites for clients. You will develop custom plugins and themes, optimize websites for performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Mentoring junior developers and staying current with new technologies are also key responsibilities. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in WordPress development
- Experience in developing custom WordPress plugins, WP Engine and themes
- Experience in developing custom Hubspot plugins and themes
- Deep understanding of UI/UX design principles
- Ability to go from mockups to implementation
- Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP
- Experience with Figma, Adobe XD
- Experience with Elementor Website Builder
- Experience with compiling web assets
- Expertise with frontend web frameworks like React, Angular, Vue.js, and jQuery
- Debugging frontend issues using Chrome / Firefox DevTools
- Experience with WordPress/Hubspot site optimization and speed optimization
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Must be willing to submit to a background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain WordPress/Hubspot websites for clients
- Develop custom WordPress/Hubspot plugins and themes
- Optimize WordPress/Hubspot websites for performance and speed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Mentor and train junior developers
- Stay up to date with WordPress developments and new technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in leading development teams is a plus
- Experience working in a contractor capacity a plus
