Summary
Join AlfaDocs, a healthcare software company, as a Senior DevOps Engineer and own the DevOps topic, building your dream infrastructure. You will design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure using Docker and Ansible, implement IaC best practices, and develop CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD. Requirements
- Min. 6 years of experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role
- Experience with IaC tools such as (but not limited to) Terraform or Pulumi
- Strong understanding of AWS (or Azure or Google Cloud...)
- Expertise in Linux system administration and shell scripting
- Strong experience configuring and managing Apache, Nginx, and HAProxy for web hosting and load balancing
- Proficient in monitoring tools like Nagios, Icinga and Grafana to ensure system health and preemptively address issues
- Deep knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing) in secure, scalable environments
- Awareness of security best practices, particularly when handling sensitive healthcare data
- Experience with New Relic for application performance monitoring and optimization
- Solid experience with using Ansible for configuration management and automation
- Strong PHP development skills (preferably with Symfony or Laravel frameworks)
- Strong experience with MySQL, including design, optimization, and management
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, high-availability infrastructure using Docker and Ansible
- Implement and enforce best practices for IaC, configuration management, and security
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD to ensure seamless automated deployments
- Implement security best practices across infrastructure and applications, ensuring GDPR compliance and adherence to regulations
- Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Proactively suggest and implement enhancements to systems, processes, and workflows
- Participate in architectural discussions, offering insights from both development and DevOps perspectives
- Support your own work with backend development (PHP)
- Work with MySQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and data migrations
