Senior DevOps Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Platform BTP, Gardner, IAS Development Engineer! This fully remote contract role (inside IR35) based in the UK requires a university degree and 6+ years of experience. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of hyperscalers like AWS and expertise in deploying and managing cloud-native applications. Experience with various tools and technologies is essential, including container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices. Requirements

• University degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• 6+ years of technical professional experience
• In-depth knowledge of hyperscalers like AWS
• Understanding of deployment automation and the tools e.g. Ansible, Chef
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Monitoring e.g. Dynatrace, CloudWatch
• Experience with Logging e.g. Splunk, Elasticsearch, Logstash
• Experience with Cloud Networking tools e.g. AWS VPCs, VNet, Google VPC
• In-depth experience in technologies used for deploying and managing Cloud-native applications
• Familiarity with GitLab and/or GitHub
• Scripting background e.g. PowerShell, Python
• Security best practices including hardened containers and images (STIG)
• Experience with Security tools e.g. Hashicorp Vault, GitHub Secrets
• Database knowledge like SAP HANA
• Expertise with OS e.g. Linux, RHEL
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

• Expertise in SAP Converged Cloud (Open Stack)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code - Terraform
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines e.g. ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins

• In-depth experience in technologies used for deploying and managing Cloud-native applications: Container Orchestration tools e.g. Gardener, Kubernetes, Docker
• Helm charts
• Repository management e.g. Artifactory, JFrog
• Service management tools e.g. Consul, Zookeeper
• Scripting background e.g. Python
• Experience with Security tools e.g. Hashicorp Vault
