Senior DevOps Engineer, Remote - Poland

Summary

The job is for a DevOps Engineer to join the CloudLinux infrastructure team, responsible for managing access, server management, security tasks, monitoring and incident resolution, creating new services, developing CI/CD pipelines, and writing documentation. Qualifications include in-depth understanding of RHEL operating systems, network fundamentals, experience with various compute environments, scripting languages, CI/CD tools, and familiarity with at least one commercial cloud provider.

Requirements

• In-depth understanding of RHEL operating systems and its derivatives, including CentOS and AlmaLinux
• Comprehensive knowledge of network fundamentals
• Experience with various compute environments, such as bare-metal servers, virtual machines, and containers
• Good knowledge on how to monitor infrastructure components and services
• Familiarity with Ansible and other configuration management tools
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation
• Eagerness to learn new concepts quickly for independent troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Experience with at least one commercial cloud provider, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with at least one common scripting language, such as Bash or Python
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Gitlab or Jenkins
• Familiarity with the Git version control system

Responsibilities

• User management: onboarding/offboarding procedures and access management
• Server management: installing new and keeping track of existing production hosts on bare metal, public and private cloud
• Managing DNS records, domain purchases, transfers or discontinuations
• Security tasks: firewall configuration and regular OS updates
• Monitoring and incident resolution: responding to incidents and ensuring minimal disruption to services
• Create new services and integrate them in current infrastructure in alignment with the specifications provided by the development teams
• Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate routine administration tasks
• Write and maintain documentation for services, tasks and procedures
