Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell for automation and infrastructure management
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and experience with tools such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable infrastructure solutions on cloud platforms
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes for applications and services
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
  • Configure and manage container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for deploying and scaling microservices-based applications
  • Monitor system performance and reliability, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and optimizing resource utilization
  • Implement and maintain robust security practices throughout the development and deployment lifecycle
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and improve overall system reliability
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our infrastructure and development processes
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in adopting best practices and developing technical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer)
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development environment
