Senior DevOps Engineer

Summary

The role involves piloting technical initiatives to improve the quality, velocity, and sustainability of FreeWill's cloud and engineering platforms. You will clearly explain solutions to complex problems and foster a culture of ownership and psychological safety. FreeWill offers a competitive salary between $160,000 and $170,000, along with excellent benefits and the opportunity to make a real impact. The position is fully remote, except for Alabama, Colorado, and Louisiana.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with AWS, specifically with serverless architecture (API Gateway, Lambda, Cloudfront, S3), EKS, and RDS
• Prior production experience with the Serverless Framework
• Familiar with modern DevOps toolsets for Infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and observability
• Experience with scripting languages, such as Bash or Python
• Experience scaling production cloud systems for complex web applications
• Demonstrated expertise in secure cloud architecture, network design, and IAM governance
