Summary
Join LastPass as a Senior DevOps Engineer and contribute to designing, developing, and improving our software deployment and IT infrastructure. You will automate build and deployment processes, administer CI/CD tools, and support Product Engineering teams. This role involves working with a dedicated operations community to improve operational practices, collaborating with architects and security experts, and driving standardization and automation. Requirements
- Good understanding of DevOps tools and technologies used across the industry
- Ability to deliver solutions and provide root cause analysis while recommending, influencing, and implementing solutions to operational problems
- Extensive knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes, and familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitLab AutoDevOps, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Puppet
- Solid understanding of cloud technologies (AWS)
- Work experience with containerization technologies (Docker, EKS, ECS)
- Infrastructure-as-code mindset (CloudFormation, CDK, or similar)
- Experience with any scripting language (Python, Go, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring infrastructure using commercial or open-source monitoring systems (e.g., Datadog)
- Ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholder groups with varying backgrounds and technical understanding within LastPass
- Strong problem-solving skills and an IaC mindset
- Team player with a can-do attitude
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve software deployment and IT infrastructure
- Automate the process of building and deploying code into different environments (Dev, RC)
- Administer and maintain the CI/CD tools
- Provide support to Product Engineering teams
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD systems, including the pipeline and tooling, following industry and company-wide best practices
- Drive standardization and automation efforts in the build and deployment processes
- Support and improve our tools for continuous integration, automated testing, and release management
- Document and communicate improvements to various stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with developer teams to ensure the quality gates and usability of our pipeline
Preferred Qualifications
- Work experience with containerization technologies (Docker, EKS, ECS)
- Experience with test automation best practices
- Work experience with backend technologies (PHP, .NET Core)
