Summary

Join our team as an experienced DevOps Engineer to automate and oversee our Azure hosting infrastructure, development pipelines, and backend services. You will collaborate with the Engineering team to maintain high availability and performance of our platform. This role requires 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity for a production-level SaaS product. The position focuses on the Azure cloud ecosystem, utilizing Azure DevOps and GitHub. We offer a flexible work schedule, 3 weeks of PTO, a personal laptop, a health and wellness package, and remote work. You will build and maintain Azure DevOps Pipelines and infrastructure, monitor systems, and implement cost-containment strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience collaborating with product teams in an agile SaaS environment
  • Familiarity with Trunk-Based Development and modern release practices
  • Experience with feature flagging tools (e.g., LaunchDarkly)
  • Understanding of security standards and monitoring processes (SOC 2 or similar)
  • Comfortable working in a remote, geographically distributed team
  • Scripting skills in TypeScript / JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, and other automation tools
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Azure PaaS services and cloud architecture is essential

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Azure DevOps Pipelines / GitHub Workflows as part of the CI/CD process across environments
  • Build, deploy, harden, and maintain Azure infrastructure, including: Core resources and services
  • Build, deploy, harden, and maintain Azure infrastructure, including: Firewalls, virtual networks
  • Build, deploy, harden, and maintain Azure infrastructure, including: Interfaces with third-party systems (CMS, LMS, ERP)
  • Monitor systems to ensure security, availability, and performance
  • Proactively ensure capacity and scalability aligned with usage patterns
  • Implement cost-monitoring and containment strategies
  • Centralized log monitoring via ElasticSearch
  • Respond to system alerts and incidents as needed
