Senior DevOps Engineer, Remote - Europe

Summary

Seedworld Studios is seeking a DevOps engineer with experience in Unreal Engine projects to join their team. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining a CI/CD pipeline for Unreal Engine projects, automating build, test, and deployment processes, and optimizing the workflow. Remote work is preferred in APAC and EMEA locations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain a scalable and efficient CI/CD pipeline for Unreal Engine projects
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes to accelerate development cycles
• Crash reporting tools
• Integrate version control systems (Perforce) into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure seamless tracking and management of code changes
• Implement and manage artifact repositories for storing and versioning build artifacts and dependencies
• Automate deployment processes for Unreal Engine applications to various environments, including staging and production
• Implement blue-green deployments and canary releases to minimize downtime and risk
• Set up monitoring tools to track the performance of the CI/CD pipeline
• Continuously optimize and improve the CI/CD workflow for speed, reliability, and efficiency
• Interfaces to publisher or first parties systems (e.g. uploading builds, querying data, …)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Several years of experience in DevOps, build engineering or related fields, ideally in the games industry
• Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine and its development workflow
• Experience with CI/CD tools(TeamCity, Cloud DevOps)
• Scripting skills in languages like Python, Shell, or PowerShell
• Familiarity with containerization technologies, especially Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with frameworks such as Agones, Terraform, Terragrunt, Packer and Helmfile
