Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data migration, data engineering, or a related field within SaaS, fintech, or practice management software
- 3+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, managing teams and large-scale data migration projects
- Deep expertise in data integration, ETL processes, and database management
- Strong technical acumen with experience in Python, SQL, and cloud-based data solutions
- Proven track record of optimizing operations, scaling teams, and implementing best practices in data migrations
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in managing an offshore team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on driving measurable results
- Experience in compliance, risk management, and data security best practices
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a scalable data migration strategy that aligns with company growth objectives
- Oversee the end-to-end data migration process, including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), ensuring high-quality data integrity and accuracy
- Establish best practices, policies, and frameworks for efficient data migration execution
- Collaborate closely with Product, Support, Sales, Business Operations, Engineering, and Marketing teams to enhance the customer onboarding experience
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of data migration engineers, specialists, and consultants
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team
- Define performance metrics and drive process improvements to enhance operational excellence
- Own the customer migration experience, ensuring smooth transitions from legacy systems with minimal business disruption
- Engage directly with key customers to understand their needs, address challenges, and drive successful outcomes
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure a customer-centric approach to migrations
- Identify opportunities to enhance automation and optimize data migration workflows
- Implement tools and technologies that improve data migration efficiency and quality
- Partner with Engineering and Product teams to influence product enhancements that facilitate seamless data migrations
- Ensure all data migrations comply with industry regulations, security protocols, and company policies
- Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Establish robust data governance and validation processes to uphold data integrity
