Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- 12+ years of experience in financial management, with a strong focus on supporting merchandising and marketing functions
- Proven track record of partnering with merchandising and marketing teams in an e-commerce or retail environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop financial models, conduct ROI analysis, and provide actionable insights
- Proficiency in financial planning and analysis tools, SQL proficiency, and advanced Excel modeling
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive business outcomes
- Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
Responsibilities
- Act as the financial lead for merchandising, providing insights into pricing, product mix, and category performance, while driving product margin optimization
- Partner with the marketing team to assess financial impact, perform ROI analysis on initiatives, and lead budget planning to ensure alignment with revenue and profitability goals
- Oversee the creation of financial models, forecasts, and budgets for merchandising and marketing, conducting in-depth analysis of sales trends, costs, and profit margins
- Work closely with technology, operations, supply chain, e-commerce, and data analytics teams to ensure alignment on inventory, logistics, and customer insights
- Build and manage a high-performing finance team, fostering continuous learning and professional development while mentoring direct reports
- Ensure clear communication of financial goals and KPIs, facilitating cross-functional collaboration between merchandising and marketing
- Lead initiatives to improve financial tools, processes, and systems for enhanced reporting accuracy, speed, and decision-making
