Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience in Information Security, with 5+ years of supervisory experience
- Proven expertise in cloud security including SIEM, Microsoft Defender, and Abnormal Security, etc
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with external and internal stakeholders including executives. Ability to deliver constructive & encouraging feedback
- Proactive, organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and persistent
Responsibilities
- Mentor and lead a team of security professionals to protect company systems and customer data
- Enhance the overall security strategy for Business Wire's cloud and data center environments, data, code, and applications
- Implement advanced security controls and technologies, such as SIEM, Microsoft Defender, and Abnormal Security to monitor and protect the organizationβs assets
- Improve data encryption, access controls, and secure coding practices to ensure the integrity of critical systems
- Manage and improve security governance frameworks, including controls, standards, policies, and guidelines, while balancing security needs with user experience and usability
- Plan for and respond to security incidents, establishing processes to minimize their impact
- Conduct periodic penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal security benchmarks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, Architecture, DevSecOps, IT Operations, Program Management, and Business Operations to align security strategies with organizational goals
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification
