Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a scientific or medical discipline (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent preferred)
  • Proven experience in developing and executing publication plans and medical communication strategies
  • Strong knowledge of clinical trial design, data interpretation, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific data into clear, concise messaging
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to evolving priorities

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive publication strategy aligned with corporate and medical objectives
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations for peer-reviewed journals and scientific congresses
  • Ensure publications adhere to ethical and compliance standards (e.g., ICMJE guidelines, GPP)
  • Lead the development of medical communication materials, including slide decks, FAQs, and evidence-based responses for medical science liaisons (MSLs)
  • Drive the creation of educational tools and materials to support internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute medical content for advisory boards, investigator meetings, and symposia
  • Build and manage a high-performing publications and medical communications team, including internal staff and external vendors
  • Partner with Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, and other key teams to ensure alignment of communication strategies with business objectives
  • Provide strategic input to clinical trial design and data analysis to ensure impactful dissemination of study results
  • Ensure all publications and medical communications are accurate, balanced, and consistent with regulatory guidelines and company policies
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging data in the field
  • Foster relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), external experts, and academic collaborators
  • Represent the company at scientific and medical conferences and meetings
