Summary

The Senior Director of UX Design will lead the UX design strategy for Gametime's mobile-first, online ticketing platform, managing a small team of designers and driving innovation. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, a proven track record in leading design teams, and experience in the ecommerce industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in UX design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in the ecommerce industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful mobile UX design projects
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, ideally with Figma
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in using data to drive design decisions
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive UX design strategy that aligns with the company's vision and business goals
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of talented UX designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our UX design processes and methodologies
  • Oversee the end-to-end UX design process, from research and ideation to prototyping, testing, and final implementation
  • Ensure all design solutions are user-centric, data-driven, and meet high standards of usability, accessibility, and visual design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and consistent user experience across all touchpoints
  • Lead user research initiatives to gain deep insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points
  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and measure the effectiveness of design solutions
  • Advocate for the user by representing their needs and perspectives throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize UX requirements
  • Communicate design concepts and rationale effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Facilitate workshops and design sprints to drive alignment and foster innovative solutions
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of UX initiatives
  • Continuously optimize the user experience through A/B testing, usability testing, and other feedback mechanisms
