Remote Senior Engineer

Summary

Join AppOmni, a leader in SaaS Security, as a Senior Software Engineer on the Core Engineering team to contribute to major components of AppOmni's SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) platform. You will design and tune the performance of our distributed system, write code in Python 3 and Golang, advise other engineers, drive performance improvements, and have opportunities to design and build new features.

Requirements

• Experience in database and systems performance tuning, schema design, and query optimization in a distributed cloud-native microservice architecture
• Strong self-motivation and aptitude for experimentation and investigation
• Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills
• At least 7 years of hands-on experience with Python 3 and Django
• 5+ years of hands-on experience working with and tuning PostgreSQL
• 5+ years experience working in containerized microservice architecture in Kubernetes
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including object-oriented design, data structure design, and work on abstracted codebases
• A strong passion and focus on systems and data engineering, and the drive to improve system performance
• Experience working in a remote environment

Responsibilities

• Contribute directly to major components of AppOmni's SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) platform
• Design and tune the performance of our distributed system
• Write code in Python 3 and Golang to perform analysis and remediate performance bottlenecks throughout our system
• Advise other engineers on the effective design of their services for optimal performance
• Drive performance improvements across our tech stack in collaboration with principal engineers and service owners
• Have opportunities to design and build new features as part of the core platform engineering team

• Base Salary: $142,800 - $196,350
