Summary
Join Xero's Platform Elements team as a Senior Engineer and contribute to the Sonic team, building and maintaining core platform capabilities and infrastructure services. You will work across AWS and emerging multi-cloud environments, delivering infrastructure-as-code solutions, cloud automation, and internal tooling. The role requires hands-on experience implementing solutions in a cloud environment, preferably AWS, and experience delivering code in a production environment. You will leverage modern product and engineering principles and practices, understanding of cloud technologies, and experience with CI/CD systems. Requirements
- Have hands-on experience implementing solutions in a cloud environment, preferably AWS
- Have experience in delivering code in a production environment
- Have experience of modern product and engineering principles and practices
- Have understanding of cloud technologies and experience with CI/CD systems
- Have understanding of containerisation technologies
- Have experience working with others in a collaborative, open and proactive way
- Have experience writing APIs and infrastructure-as-code
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain core platform capabilities and infrastructure services that enable Xeroβs engineering teams to deploy, operate, and scale software safely and efficiently in the cloud
- Work across AWS and emerging multi-cloud environments to deliver infrastructure-as-code solutions, cloud automation, and internal tooling that enforce operational excellence, compliance, and developer enablement
