Requirements

  • 4+ years of engineering leadership experience, plus an additional 6-8+ years of hands-on engineering experience using relevant technologies
  • Must be excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • A willingness to accept failure and feedback, learn and try again
  • A passion for learning new disciplines and gaining a deep understanding of how others on the team do their work
  • An ability to communicate clearly and succinctly both in-person and over team chat
  • Strong problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and organizational skills
  • Proven experience managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects
  • Strong proficiency with the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
  • Dispel requires comprehensive background checks for all employees, and you must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers to achieve project goals and professional growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-impact solutions
  • Drive engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/deployment
  • Ensure project timelines and quality standards are met while balancing technical debt and innovation
  • Oversee system architecture, scalability, and performance improvements
  • Recruit and retain top engineering talent to support the team’s growth
  • Act as a liaison between engineering and other departments to improve communication and process efficiency
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to keep the team competitive
