Requirements
- Proven experience leading engineering teams (ideally 5+ individuals), including mentoring, performance management, and guiding collaborative technical decision-making
- Significant experience as a Senior or Lead Individual Contributor (IC) engineer
- Expertise in defining technical strategy and designing, evaluating, and implementing scalable, maintainable, and secure architectures for complex systems (leveraging cloud platforms, event-driven patterns, diverse databases, etc.)
- Strong understanding of SDLC best practices, API development (RESTful), relational/SQL databases, and experience integrating third-party software or services
- Experience effectively managing stakeholder and/or vendor relationships and expectations

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering their performance, growth, and career progression through effective coaching and feedback
- Drive new initiatives for our post-hire products outside of Greenhouse Recruiting
- Drive the technical direction and architectural design for your team's domain, ensuring solutions are scalable, robust, and well-engineered
- Champion and implement SDLC best practices to ensure high-quality software delivery and team efficiency
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to define, prioritize, and deliver on product roadmaps
- Manage team performance, empowering individuals and motivating the team to achieve impactful results and meet objectives
- Actively foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive team culture where all voices are heard and valued
- Facilitate effective team collaboration, guide sound technical decision-making, and manage stakeholder expectations
- Oversee the design, building, and integration of key first-party integrations
Preferred Qualifications
- Ruby on Rails development experience, preferred
- End-to-end product ownership experience, a plus
- Familiarity or experience with Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) solutions, a plus
Benefits
- The national pay range for this role is $170,000 - $255,000
- Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications
- Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including stock option awards, bonuses, and merit increases
- Additionally, certain roles have the opportunity to receive sales commissions that are based on the terms of the sales commission plan applicable to the role
