Senior Engineering Manager, iOS Platform

Summary

Join Reddit's iOS Platform Team as an Engineering Manager and lead a high-caliber team of iOS Mobile developers. You will be responsible for setting and maintaining goals for latency, stability, and developer productivity. This role involves coaching and mentoring engineers, fostering a metrics-driven culture, and collaborating with feature teams to ensure high-quality code. You'll play a critical role in shaping the architectural direction of Reddit's iOS engineering organization and enabling future growth. Requirements

• 8+ years of experience developing internet-scale software, preferably in Mobile development, or Platform development roles
• Strong experience in setting the goals, execution, and accountability
• Experience in iOS native mobile platform
• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages and mobile frameworks; Swift, Obj-c, Java, Python, Go etc
• Strong organizational skills, Influential skills, the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule
• Excellent communication, planning & collaboration skills

• Build, hire and lead a high-caliber team of iOS Mobile developers
• Be responsible for setting and maintaining latency, stability, and developer productivity goals for the Mobile Applications
• Coach and mentor engineers on the team to further their professional development
• Set and support a metrics-driven culture, with efficient processes and strong transparency
• Work with feature teams across the company to follow the best practices and to deliver high quality code for Reddit’s Mobile applications

Preferred Qualifications

6+ years experience of leading a team of software engineers, as a people manager
