Senior Engineering Manager

Summary

Join Zepz's Fraud team as a Manager to build and lead a team of engineers developing a next-level fraud platform. You will be responsible for hiring, roadmap creation, technology evaluation, and execution, working with various technologies like Java/Kotlin, AWS, and Kubernetes. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in building and deploying web services on cloud infrastructure, and experience with data analytics tools. You'll collaborate with product managers, scrum masters, and stakeholders to deliver data services. • Lead cross-team efforts, highlighting areas of improvement and driving execution
• Motivate team members, drive engagement and steer professional development
• Have strong communications and presentation skills, be comfortable with presenting at the executive level
• Experience with managing the design, build and deployment of Web Site / Services on cloud-based infrastructure
• Experience leading technology/tool evaluation/selection
• Experience with orchestration and containerization tools such as Kubernetes and Docker

• Engage in hands-on participation in Engineering tasks such as coding, peer reviews, and building automation tests
• Act as the initial point of contact for your team and facilitate the inclusion of team members as required
• Work closely with Product Managers to align on your team's capacity
• Collaborate closely with Scrum Masters to foster engagement, focus, responsibility, and motivation in the team
• Collaborate with stakeholders, translating requirements into roadmaps for delivering data services

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience working in a Financial or FinTech space
• Have experience working in a distributed team across different geographies and timezones
• Are from the East Coast US/Canada
