Summary
Join ARCโTERYX's growing Technology group as a Senior Enterprise Architect! This remote-friendly role (Pacific Time zone alignment required) involves designing omnichannel platform interfaces and business event schemas, leading data-mapping coherency, and championing EDA implementation. You will guide information architecture practices, define engineering guild activities, and contribute to cross-cutting initiatives like carbon emission reduction. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in SOA and EDA contract design, IT architecture, and application domains like eCommerce and supply chain. Strong communication and mentorship skills are essential.
Requirements
- Have passion for and demonstrated accomplishment in SOA and EDA contract design
- Have a bachelorโs degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- Have 12+ years in tech engineering roles of increasing responsibility and sophistication including prior experience as an IT architect
- Have experience designing and implementing IT foundational capabilities in areas such as application integration, identity and access management, data schema, service interface design, and shared platform design and operation
- Have design and operation experience in application domains such as supply-chain, eCommerce, loyalty/marketing, manufacturing and warehousing, and product lifecycle management
- Have experience discovering, planning and solving cross-application and business domain requirements and end-to-end flows
- Have experience with solution option synthesis and authoring with option trade-offs, required policies, solution risks, and best-fit recommendation
- Have experience assessing current systems and domain flows as springboard to informing and leading project design and domain strategy
- Have skills and desire to guide and inspire tech engineering best practices and mentor skills, techniques, and career path
- Have strong communication skills, capable of inspiring teams and stakeholders with a clear vision and innovative thinking
- Have direct retail or adjacent domain experience
Responsibilities
- Design omnichannel platform interfaces and business event schemas consumed by commerce and brand applications in the foundational areas of customer, product, payment, and order
- Lead and align data-mapping coherency and synergy end-to-end, bridging operational and analytic use cases; provide guidance to and enable data teaming across platform engineering, master data and data analytics teams
- Inform and guide information architecture practice and process need
- Champion EDA and facilitate implementation in our omnichannel platform and commerce and brand experience applications
- Define and lead engineering guild activities and evangelize engineering practice excellence
- Define and drive cross-cutting initiatives such as carbon-emission and energy reductions in IT deployment and contributing to circularity goals in our overall supply chain and product lifecycle
- Develop architecture group common practices and artifact styles
- Advise and shape developer services in support of agile-lifecycle software development and service deployment
- Create scoped logical architecture options for product leaders in the PMO process (select large projects) with trade-offs, required policies, risk advisement, and technology strategy alignment
Preferred Qualifications
Have advanced degrees or certifications in technology leadership, cloud computing, or system architecture
