Summary
Join Fastly's Enterprise Architect team as a Senior Enterprise (Security) Architect and become a key player in driving Fastly Security Sales across North America. This client-facing role requires leading local teams to win new security business, building best practices for customer-facing activities, and establishing a feedback loop with Fastly's Security Product team. You will also be responsible for ensuring local teams are aware of new security features and for improving competitive analysis and displacement techniques. Furthermore, you will act as a thought leader through speaking engagements, blogs, and white papers. This position offers a hybrid or remote work arrangement with a preference for hybrid near a local office (San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA).
Requirements
- Seasoned security expert (8+ years) with strong hands-on experience in these technologies and processes
- Content Delivery and Edge Platforms
- Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- DDoS Mitigation
- Bot Management
- Excellent communication and speaking skills
- Ability to act with little to no supervision
Responsibilities
- Lead local teams in winning net new security business
- Help to build best practices with regards to proof of concepts (PoC), product demonstrations and other customer facing activities
- Help establish and maintain a feedback loop to Fastlyβs Security Product team(s), ensuring that product features are prioritised and that the voice of the customer is heard
- Ensure that the local teams are aware of new Security features and their associated use cases and that proof of value exercises are implemented using best practices
- Improve competitive analysis and displacement techniques for competing security solutions in the EMEA region
- Ensure Sales and Sales Engineering are kept up to date on Fastly Security offerings through running internal demonstrations, presentations and Q&A sessions
- Help teams stay up to date on competitive events and services
- Become a Fastly Security thought leader through compelling Speaking Engagements

- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
