Senior Enterprise Security Engineer

Summary

Join Databricks' growing team as a Sr. Enterprise Security Engineer, contributing to enterprise security projects and promoting best practices. You will design and implement scalable security solutions, perform security design reviews, guide application owners, and lead projects securing corporate systems. Collaboration across departments is key to gathering requirements and supporting other teams. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant experience, substantial security engineering expertise, and deep knowledge of endpoint security and relevant frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess experience with various security tools and technologies.

Requirements

• Engineering Bachelor's Degree, or relevant experience
• Substantial demonstrated expertise as a Security Engineer with experience in Endpoint/Enduser security
• Expert knowledge of physical endpoints (macOS, Windows) ideally using tools such as Osquery
• Significant experience with NIST 800-53 or similar frameworks

Responsibilities

• Help identify and develop novel solutions to emerging enterprise security challenges
• Drive the delivery of scalable and technically sound solutions as a service to the business
• Assist other teams outside of Security by performing security design reviews focusing on potential risks involved in deploying new enterprise tools
• Guide application owners to implement and validate the latest enterprise security standards
• Lead projects to secure corporate systems through the use of novel technologies and approaches balancing the need to secure the company with the impact on user experience
• Work across departments to gather requirements from partners within the business and to support other teams with complex project execution

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automating security reviews
• Skill and experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions such as Okta; Device Management solutions such as Jamf/Intune; tuning EDR (Crowdstrike/SentinelOne/similar) with complex engineering/development workloads; and Just In Time administrative access
• Expertise in offering perspective and guidance on an enterprise scale for public and internal services in a cloud-centric environment
• Familiarity with network access solutions (CASBs/Prisma/NAC)
• A passion for working in high-growth environments
