Summary
Join Kraken as a Senior Finance Manager and partner with senior business unit leaders to drive growth decisions and evaluate tradeoffs across our portfolio of products for our diverse institutional client base. This highly visible role will support strategic decision-making by leveraging analyses, investment frameworks, strategic insights, and a problem-solving focused mindset. You will also drive special projects tied to capital allocation analyses as well as short and long-term planning exercises. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, biases to action, and independently builds strong partnerships with senior business leaders. This is a fully remote position within a mission-focused company committed to accelerating the global adoption of crypto.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years experience and proven track record in Investment Banking, Consulting and Finance or Strategy positions within a public company
- Served as a trusted advisor and partner to senior executives; advising on company-level strategy initiatives and investment decisions that have enabled company-wide growth
- Excellent problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills and a track record of delivering results on corporate wide initiatives
- The ability to distill complex information into clear problem statements that can be systematically analyzed and communicated; frames both approaches and solutions in a way that is actionable for all audiences
- Comfort working with metrics, building new KPIs and navigating large data sets to find answers to complex problems
- Ability to navigate ambiguous workstreams and build processes from scratch
- Knowledge of financial markets and strong passion in cryptocurrency
- High degree of curiosity and self motivation to understand the βwhyβ behind all decisions
- Expert knowledge of SQL
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain deep, meaningful business partner relationships within the Institutional business, to drive results while connecting their work to broader business strategy across client segments, products, and geographies
- Leverage analytic frameworks to drive business roadmap and investment decisions
- Partner with the Institutional business to develop and implement key business KPIs, set operational and financial performance targets, and develop strategies to achieve them
- Analyze operating and financial results, including analysis of monthly trends and drivers, using insights to update the forecast, or highlight areas of potential concern with appropriate recommendations
- Develop strong perspectives on business strategy and performance, relative to competitors / market
- Drive special projects in partnership with Finance leadership
