Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree preferred
- Proven experience working in financial analytics, budgeting, or related areas. Please note that this experience must be in a working environment and does not include time spent in your studies
- 7+ years of general accounting experience in a corporate setting
- Self-starter who has worked in a small business or startup environment
- Accounting knowledge
- Experience with data visualization
- Proficiency in building and analyzing financial models, Excel, and Google Sheets
- Demonstrated ability to independently analyze complex data sets, draw meaningful insights, and make data-driven recommendations
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think critically and strategically
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities and business needs
- Collaborative team player
Responsibilities
- Develop & manage financial models related to revenue forecasting, expenses, and profitability
- Analyze financial trends to provide actionable insight
- Lead complex analyses, prepare detailed forecasts and projections, and provide insights to senior management
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports
- Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders highlighting KPIβs and the financial health of the organization
- Build dashboards in Tableau to highlight these key performance metrics
- Continuously improve BI solutions by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing updates to better serve business needs
- Optimize the performance of reports, dashboards, and queries to ensure they run efficiently and provide timely insights
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment on financial goals
- When time permits, contribute to cross-departmental analytics projects using their analytics and data-visualization skills
Preferred Qualifications
- An understanding of SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Proficiency in Tableau or other visualization software, including experience with dashboard creation, data visualization, and report generation
- Experience in corporate finance
- Experience working directly with executive teams
