Remote Senior Front-End Engineer

Summary

Join Bitwarden's Tools team as a Senior Front-End Engineer and contribute to building secure, performant, and user-focused software. As an expert in core front-end codebase, you will participate in hands-on development of new features, engage with other teams, and independently plan, estimate, and deliver new work and bug fixes.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in building complex Angular applications
• Experience with reactive programming using RxJS or similar libraries
• Experience with front-end state management systems
• Experience with Tailwind CSS for component styling
• Collaborative and adaptable mindset
• Openness and authenticity combined with excellent communication skills
• Excitement and enthusiasm for open source and for better internet security
• Excellent problem-solving skills – you might not know all the answers, but you know how to find and communicate the solution
• Familiarity with concepts of modern encryption is a plus

Responsibilities

• Become an expert and authority on Bitwarden’s core front-end codebase, including our web client, desktop client, and browser extension
• Participate in hands-on development of new features
• Work on reports, localization, generators, or file import/export functionality, among other tasks
• Actively engage with other teams to ensure our core code supports new features
• Participate in code reviews, learning and spreading technical knowledge
• Independently plan, estimate and deliver new work and bug fixes
• Occasionally contribute bug fixes submitted by the user community
