Senior Frontend Engineer

Summary

Join Grafana Labs' Frontend Platform Squad as a remote Frontend Engineer and contribute to the development and improvement of Grafana's user experience. You will design, build, and maintain critical systems, focusing on reliability, performance, and availability. Collaborate with a team to deliver new features, iterate on existing ones, and actively participate in shaping the product roadmap. This role requires solid frontend development experience with React/Typescript, experience delivering projects from ideation to deployment, and cloud software development experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a remote-first environment, values autonomy, and enjoys mentoring team members. Compensation includes a competitive salary and benefits, including equity and bonuses.

Requirements

• You have a solid experience with building frontend applications (ideally using React / Typescript) using best practices, documentation and testing
• You have experience with delivering projects from gathering requirements, brainstorming ideas all the way to shipping a product in a self-driven way
• You have experience with developing software that runs in the Cloud
• You are comfortable working in a remote-first company and understand the importance of communication
• You value autonomy and enabling decisions over committees and red tape
• You know how to transform ideas into working code . you are able to design a solution, get feedback, and write a prototype by yourself
• You care deeply about user experience and the quality of the products that you work on
• You care about our community of users and contributors

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning the reliability, performance, and availability
• Work with your team to deliver new features, then use the results to iterate and improve
• Drive projects from initial ideation all the way to operations once it is in the hands of customers
• Take an active role in influencing our roadmap and your own career objectives
• Mentor and support other team members, participate in product discussions and collaborate with the team
