Summary

Join Riverside Insights as a Senior Frontend Engineer and contribute to developing high-quality, scalable software solutions for school districts. Lead by example, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment. Collaborate with the product team to architect solutions, implement features, and evolve coding practices. Develop and release software in an agile environment, focusing on teacher-focused enhancements and a new mental health screener product. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of four years of experience developing software products or a matching level of skill and strengths
  • Be very comfortable writing modern architecture within the frontend codebase, that integrates well to the backend. Consider the task at hand while also recognizing the impact it might have on the larger system as a whole
  • Have a deep understand of UI and UX, driving the team to build features that will be smooth and successful for our end users
  • Have experience with unit and integration testing. Believe in testing your work and seek to automate your testing whenever possible
  • Be empathetic and desire to work on a well-functioning and communicative team. Set a high bar for yourself and engage with and support your team to be the best that they can be
  • Understand the importance of collaborating with and helping your fellow engineers, product partners and others to deliver customer value
  • Be able to comfortably work remote. Have the ability to attend regular team ceremonies, department and team meetings, while also being available for team collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product, architect a solution, break down an epic, implement a feature, or evolve a coding practice with your fellow colleagues
  • Develop and release software solutions in an agile environment, helping us focus on building teacher focused enhancements and developing a mental health screener which is a new product for us
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
  • Support our teamโ€™s continual growth by creating documentation which could be flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
  • Bring your own experience and ideas to help us continually iterate and help the team stay a high performing team within our process, our code, our standards, and help us reach a full CICD process
  • Help make a positive impact on many children, youth and adults nationwide as you continue to support and enhance Apertureโ€™s research-developed and strength-focused product
